What is the Purpose? Purpose The purpose of The Federation is to represent the best interests of Tenants and Residents and promote their well-being. What is the Mandate? Mandate The Federation is publicly elected (by those who say we can) to represent with their permission and authority, To receive and give instructions, Make decisions with the right to form our own opinions Consent must include a complaints procedure Inclusion, people must be told and they must know about you Clarity, a clear view of your role "Consultation" Representation is wider than the member election Authority comes from being un-opposed Accountability justify the decisions you make "Be honest, open, even if the decision is wrong The mandate of The Federation is · Being representative, · Working towards inclusion, · Being accountable, · Having consent · Having the authority to act, · Maintaining a clear and relevant up to date role
